* Qualifying Agriculture/ Cannery worker’s wages must be earned by an adult household member who is either a citizen or permanent legal resident.

Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Wait List

The Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Wait List is open for current residents of Yuba, Sutter, Colusa, or Nevada Counties, and households who meet the Involuntary Displacement preference (details below).  Applications will ONLY be available for households who at the time of application provide proof of residency or third-party verification showing they are a victim of involuntary displacement due to government action. Proofs of preference will need to be attached to application, if applying online be submit proofs either by fax 530-673-0775 or email to reception@regionalha.org.  To qualify all households must meet the income requirements established by U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

 

Involuntary Displacement

Displaced by Government Action – A family displaced by a natural disaster, including disasters recognized by a Federal Government, which extensively damaged or destroyed their dwelling or is dilapidated as cited by city/county officials of a local code enforcement office and does not provide safe, adequate shelter; has one or more critical defects or a combination of defects requiring considerable repair or endangers the health, safety, and well-being of family.  Dwelling must have been declared unfit for habitation by a government agency.  The Family must present a letter from said government agency.  The Family is part of a Witness Protection Program or the HUD Office or law enforcement agency and, after a threat assessment, the law enforcement agency recommends re-housing the family to avoid or reduce risk of Violence against the family.

OFFICE OPENING

We have been closely monitoring the spread of the global Coronavirus (COVID-19). As new recommendations are released, the health of our tenants, clients, staff and the general public are top priority. The Regional Housing Authority’s main office at 1455 Butte House Road, Yuba City, CA 95993, along with our Maintenance Department office located at 415 Miles Avenue, Yuba City, CA 95991, will be opening to the public effective June 1, 2020 during the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.  We will have social distancing guidelines in place such as facial coverings must be worn when entering the building and a maximum of 4 people allowed in at one time. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

 

 

NOTICE – Public Housing Wait List Open

 The Sutter County Low Income Public Housing Wait List for Senior Village-Date Street, Live Oak, CA & River City Manor-Joann Way, Yuba City, CA is OPEN until further notice. Must be senior (62+) and/or disabled to qualify.   Richland Public Housing Waitlist  for studio, 4 and 5 bedroom are open until further notice.

USDA Rural Development Housing Programs

Rural Development Programs applications must be mailed or dropped off at the Housing Authority's main office.

Do you work in Agriculture? Are you retired or disabled but used to work in Agriculture?  If so, you might qualify to live at Richland Housing RD Site. You must earn a minimum of $5753 in Farm Labor earnings or show past farm labor earnings prior to retirement or becoming disabled.

¿TRABAJA EN AGRICULTURA? ¿ESTA JUBILADO O DISCAPACITADO PERO TRABAJABA EN LA AGRICULTURA? SI ES ASI, USTED PODRÍA CALIFICAR PARA VIVIR EN LAS VIVIENDAS RICHLAND RD.  Debe ganar un mínimo de $5753 en trabajo agrícola o debe comprobar ingresos pasados en trabajo agrícola antes de jubilarse o deshabilitarse.
